2009 DoD Breakthrough Convention - Performance

Lansdowne, Virginia – October 14-16, 2009

Breakthrough Improvement for Enterprise ExcellenceAt the second annual DoD Breakthrough Convention, more than 500 Lean Six Sigma and process improvement leaders from across the U.S. Department of Defense will gather at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, Virginia, for an iSixSigma Live!-produced conference. The Deputy Secretary of Defense, Deputy Secretaries, Deployment Leaders, and Transformation leaders will join to achieve breakthrough results over the course of this two-day conference.

    Theme: "PERFORMANCE"

    What: A conference to continue uniting the U.S. Department of Defense's Lean Six Sigma initiative under a common vision, focused on breakthrough improvement for business excellence. Note: This conference is contracted by the U.S. Department of Defense.

    Purpose of this convention will be to:
    1. Demonstrate our commitment to the President's directive to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our business operations
    2. Showcase enterprise-wide performance improvement success stories
    3. Serve as an ongoing review process as we solve enterprise-wide challenges
    Who: 500 Lean Six Sigma and process improvement leaders from across the U.S. Department of Defense, including Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Agencies and Activities.

    When: Wednesday through Friday, October 14 – 16, 2009

    Where: The National Conference Center, Lansdowne, VA
