U.S. DoD CPI/LSS Breakthrough Convention
Washington, D.C. – October 22-23, 2008
By invitation-only, the top 300 Lean Six Sigma and Business Transformation leaders from across the U.S. Department of Defense will gather in Washington D.C. for an iSixSigma Live!-produced conference. The Deputy Secretary of Defense, Deputy Secretaries, Deployment Leaders, and Transformation leaders will join to achieve breakthrough results over the course of this two-day conference.

Theme: "Breakthrough Improvement for DoD Enterprise Excellence"
What: A conference to unite the U.S. Department of Defense's Lean Six Sigma initiative under a common vision, focused on breakthrough improvement for business excellence. Note: This conference is contracted by the U.S. Department of Defense.
Purpose: The purpose of this convention will be to:
- Report-out to Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England, Deputy Under Secretaries of Defense and LSS Deployment Leaders on enterprise-wide LSS projects chartered to standardize and accelerate DoD deployments.
- Share strategies, processes, training, technology and infrastructure amongst LSS Deployment Leaders.
- Allow Deployment Leaders across silos to network, share information and build relationships.

Who: By invitation-only, the top 300 Lean Six Sigma and Business Transformation leaders from across the U.S. Department of Defense, including Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Agencies and Activities.
Why: The implementation of Lean Six Sigma across the U.S. Department of Defense can be accelerated by working together. This conference will:
- Update the top DoD business transformation leaders on the latest strategies for breakthrough results
- Detail proven DoD implementation strategies, tactics and tips
- Allow leaders to get involved, find the right contacts/counterparts throughout the DoD, and leverage breakthrough processes in support of our war-fighters
